HOW TO USE WATERPROOFING?
Wet rooms with water sources must be waterproofed in "wet areas":
HYDRO-TEC MEMBRANE is applied before tiling.
- all over the floor surface;
- at the bottom of the walls, at a height of at least 10 cm from the floor surface;
- all over the surface of the walls in shower cubicles, going beyond by least 50 cm;
- on the walls behind sinks and bathtubs, at least 20 cm above the water source (mixer tap or the highest position of the showerhead) and at least 50 cm from the edges of the bathtubs and sinks;
- all over the surface of plasterboard structures.
HYDRO-TEC MEMBRANE is applied before tiling.
BERGAUF WATERPROOFING SYSTEM

1. Repairing leaks (if any) — BERGAUF HYDROPLOMBA.
2. Base treatment with BERGAUF TIEFGRUNT deep penetrating primer.
3. Application of the first waterproofing layer of BERGAUF HYDRO-TEC-MEMBRANE using a brush, fur roller, or putty knife.
4. Sealing corner or joining seams with BERGAUF HYDROLENTA waterproof tape by applying the tape on the first waterproofing layer.
5. Application of a second waterproofing layer of BERGAUF HYDRO-TEC-MEMBRANE.
6. Fixing the facing tiles with BERGAUF KERAMIK PROFI/BERGAUF MAXIMUM PLUS/BERGAUF GRANIT/BERGAUF MOSAIK glue (depending on the type and form of the tile, and application).
7. Filling the tile seams with BERGAUF ELAST PREMIUM water-repellent cement grouting.
